CONSIDER THE LILIES

2 Corinthians 5:17; Matthew 6:25-34; John 3:8

God’s beautiful world show forth His glory and helps give us understanding.  The caterpillar’s transformation into a butterfly becomes a powerful picture of the truth of what it means to be a new creation in Christ.  Jesus points us to the lilies and to the birds to help us understand that we do not need to worry if we trust in the Father’s care.  He points us to the wind to help us understand the mystery and the power of God’s Spirit at work in our lives.

CHOOSE TO SERVE!

Philippians 2:1-14

Choose Your Attitude – Your attitude makes a big difference!  Choose to be Christ-Like - Decide to deny yourself and put others first.  Choose to Trust – As you face obstacles, difficulty and danger it is your faith in Christ that gives you the strength to go forward.  Choose to Love – Your love for God and for people gives you the greatest reason to serve and provides the greatest strength.

OVER AND ABOVE OFFERING

“I believe something extra-ordinary is possible!”

As the Parking Lot Project nears completion, we are beginning to be billed for different portions of the work.  The estimated cost of the project is $254,661.54.  We have received $124,584.05 to date for the parking lot.  Gifts contributed at this point will not only help us pay for the new parking lot but will keep us from exhausting our Capital Needs Fund which is needed for future projects.  Your gifts are needed and greatly appreciated!

Dear Church Family, Thank you so much for your love and support all of my growing years at Woodruff First Baptist Church.  I would also like to thank you all for the engraved Bible presented to me at the graduation service on Sunday.  Also, to all the ladies who prepared the delicious meal for the graduates and our families.  Please continue to keep me in your prayers as I journey to a new phase in my life.

                                                      With love, Joshua Philbeck

Thank you so much for the beautiful graduation service and delicious meal.  The Bible and the devotional CD mean so much to me.  I will always cherish my memories as a member of such a loving and caring church family.  Please keep me in your prayers as I start a new chapter of my life.
