CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY

We extend our love and heartfelt prayers to

Barbara Casey and Family in the death of her mother, Mary Lawson;

Dean McAlister and Family in the death of his wife,

June Taylor McAlister.

PARKING LOT CONSTRUCTION

We are beginning the final stages of the project that include:  painting, light installation, clean up and grass planting.  We will still need to stay off of the asphalt for a little while longer so that it can cure well.  (We want it to last a long time.)  We encourage anyone who is able to do so to park at the High School this Sunday so that our front parking spaces will be left for visitors, the elderly and the handicapped.  We are tentatively planning to have a Dedication Service for the parking lot on Sunday, May 27.  Please continue to pray for everyone who is involved in this project.

LAST REGULAR WEDNESDAY

This Wednesday, May 16, is our last Wednesday night of the school year program.  Join us on May 23 for Family Fun Night.

COMMON DESTINY

Their website is www.commondestiny.com

THANK YOU!

Members of First Baptist Church, My family and I would like to thank you very much for all your prayers and get-well wishes.  I know they were and will continue to be a blessing to me through my surgery and the treatments still to come.  I’m doing well and my doctors are very optimistic about my outcome.  Please continue to keep me on your prayer list.  Your thoughtfulness made a real difference and was a true blessing from God.  Thank you so very much.  Sincerely,

                                                                          Wayne Melton

Thank you to all who came out and supported the carwash and hot dog sale for the Relay for Life Fundraiser.  A big thank you to all who helped wash cars.  A total of $439 was raised to help the fight against cancer.
