WEDNESDAY NIGHT WORKERS

We are gearing up for another fantastic year with our School-Year Wednesday night program.  Let us know if you would like to help.  We are especially in need of folks to work with our preschoolers.  Our fall programs will begin on August 23.  A schedule for the new school year is posted on our church web site, www.woodruff1st.org.

Kathy Skinner is working on a display for this Sunday honoring those who have served or who are serving in our armed forces.  If you or a loved one has served, please contact Kathy or the church office so that each name can be included.

 

SKINNER’S BBQ

CHICKEN & PORK

Sunday, July 2  *  12:00 pm

Join us for Skinner’s BBQ Chicken and Pork accompanied by baked beans, slaw, rolls, tea, lemonade and assorted desserts as we celebrate our nation’s independence.  The cost will be $6.00 per plate.  We will also offer a hot dog plate with chips & drink for $2.00.  Tickets may be purchased in advance through the church office or at the luncheon this Sunday.  Come and enjoy!

 

ADULT CHOIR REHEARSAL

Join the choir!  Rehearsal for the month of July will be Thursday – July 13  *  6:00 – 8:00 pm.  Come enjoy great food and fellowship!

LEARN TO READ MUSIC!

If you would be interested in a basic music class that would enable you to learn to read music, please call the church office.  Kay Young has agreed to teach and will set a day and time based on the response.  This will be a great opportunity to increase your enjoyment of participation in handbells, choir, congregational singing and other music programs as well give you a valuable life skill that the Lord will use in many, many ways.
