THANK YOU!

Dear First Baptist World Changers:  We hope that you all had a wonderful week serving our God together.  Thank you so much for listening to God’s call and coming to Lenoir City.  We are confident that God ordained our time together, and we are blessed to have been with each of you.  Please begin praying about where God will call you to serve next.  Listen to Him, and He will reveal the next step on your incredible journey.  Thanks for making our first week so special, and we would love to see you again.        WC Summer Staff,

Lauren, Jason, Kerri-Lee, Richard

WITH LOVE AND APPRECIATION FOR

BOBBY BLANTON

We give thanks to God for Bobby and for his ministry through music.  He will begin his 7th year of service with our church this Sunday as our Music Director.  He began serving with us on June 25, 2000.  In addition to his responsibilities with the Adult Choir, worship planning, leading our congregational worship, musicals and other special events, Bobby works with the Quartet and the Praise Team who have touched our hearts in many ways.  We have been richly blessed through his gifts and abilities and are so grateful that he, Carla, Christopher and Jonathan are part of our family.  Pray for the Blantons daily as they seek to faithfully live out God’s call in their lives.

COLLEGE MINISTRY

We would love to have a current address for each of our college students.  Please call us or email us with contact information for the new school year.  Each student will be listed on our weekly prayer sheets on a rotating basis.  New freshmen are invited to join our College and Career Sunday School Class this summer so that you can take part before you leave for school.

40 DAYS OF COMMUNITY

September 24 – November 11, 2006

40 Days of Community focuses on how we can help one another fulfill God’s purposes in our lives.  The devotionals, Bible studies, Scripture memory, & worship services will respond to the question, “What on earth are we here for?”  Please be praying that the Lord will work in a powerful way.

Everyone will need a copy of the 40 Days of Community Workbook: Better Together.  The workbook includes 40 Days of Devotions, 40 Days of Journaling, and the Small Group Study Guide.  These may be purchased in the church office at a cost of $7.00.  We encourage you, if you are able, to purchase one for yourself and one for a friend.  Different workbooks for youth and children will be provided.  We also have copies of The Purpose Driven Life, (The devotional guide for 40 Days of Purpose), that can be purchased at a cost of $7.00.  You may want to consider using it in your devotions this summer as we prepare for what God will do this fall.
