PREPARATION DAY

The First Baptist Health Ministry Team is sponsoring Preparation Day on Sunday, February 3.

 

Sunday School

During the Sunday School hour, Coleman Catoe, an attorney with the Baptist Foundation of South Carolina will present information and answer questions about wills, living wills, durable power of attorney, health care power of attorney and charitable trusts.  Sunday School classes are invited to come as a class or as individuals. 

 

Worship Service

During the worship service, Dr. Lonnie Shull, our pastor’s father, will be preaching about the need for spiritual preparation.

 

Lunch

Following the worship service, we will have a Soup and Sandwich Luncheon for the entire congregation.  Proceeds from lunch will go toward our Over and Above Fund.

 

Afternoon Appointments

After lunch, Coleman Catoe and a Social Worker from Regional Hospice will be available for appointments.  They will answer questions, provide information and can complete some of these documents for those who are interested as time allows.  There is no charge for these services.  Please call the church office if you are interested in scheduling an appointment.

Join with us and bring your friends to this special service of worship as we focus on what it means to die to self and live for God.  First Presbyterian Church will be hosting this service for our congregation and the congregation of Emma Gray Memorial United Methodist Church.  Supper, Choirs, Lighthouse & Mission Groups will meet at First Baptist that night on an adjusted schedule.
