THE TRIVIA QUESTION

This week’s question:  In 1859, our church surveyed the community to find out how many homes did not have a Bible so that we could purchase Bibles for these families.  How many families in the Woodruff Community did not own a Bible in 1859?

Last week’s question:  How much did we pay for the first bus that our church purchased?  $206.00.  The bus was a ’53 Chevrolet that had been ‘retired’ from the Laurens School District.  Volunteers sanded and repainted the bus, recovered and bolted in the seats, put on new tires and tuned up the engine.  The bus was affectionately known as the “Green Goose.”  After 6 years it was sold for 5 times the purchase price.  Last week’s question was contributed by Rev. Bobby Morrow.

Dear Andrew and Church Family, Thank you for the powerful memorial service you gave on Sunday Morning in memory of our loved ones who have gone to be with our Lord.  The inspiring message and beautiful music touched our hearts and gave us hope and joy for that great day when we see Jesus and our loved ones.  The meal and fellowship following the service was wonderful and delicious.  Thanks to the ladies who prepared and served it.
