TEAM IMPACT

Community Evangelistic Services

This Wednesday - Friday * April 11-13

Woodruff High School * 6:30 pm

Team Impact has learned that if you can get a person's attention-they will listen to what you have to say.  And they have found a way to get people's attention. The unique style of ministry uses the gifts of elite athletes performing feats of strength that demand attention.  The appeal is nearly irresistible, especially for those who would normally never attend church. While the method may be different, the message remains the same - Salvation through grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.  We are looking for God to do great things!  Contact the church office if you can serve as an usher or counselor.  Our regular Wednesday night services and activities will not be held on April 11 so that we can be part of the events at Woodruff High School.  Join in these efforts as we seek to reach the lost in our community.

COMMUNITY CELEBRATION SERVICE

This Sunday, April 15 * 6:30 pm * First Baptist Church

We will be the host church for this time of celebration and thanksgiving for what God will do during the Team Impact services.  We look forward to this great time with the other churches of our community.

SERVICE WITH NEW LIFE

Sunday, April 22 * 6:00 pm * First Baptist Church

Join with us as we host our friends from the New Life Baptist Church for this Evening Worship Service.  Reverend Steve Ramey will be preaching.

YOUTH SUNDAY

This Sunday, April 15

We are so grateful for our young people!  Please pray for them as they prepare to lead the worship service.  Everyone in grades 6 – 12 is invited to take part in our Youth Sunday Choir.  Please meet in the choir room this Sunday morning at 10:45 am.

THANKS FOR EASTER WEEKEND!

Great appreciation is expressed to all the committees and individuals who went over and above in their efforts with the Good Friday Service, Easter Egg Hunt, Sunrise Service, Sunrise Breakfast, Flowering Cross and Easter Celebration.  We pray that the Lord will continue to use this past weekend in a mighty way.

THE TRIVIA QUESTION

This week’s question:

How long has our steeple been leaking?

Last week’s question:

In the front foyer of our church is a painting by Robert Wilson of our Lord Jesus Christ entitled, “Come Unto Me.”  How old is the painting?  The painting is now 20 years old.  It was given to our church on April 12, 1987  In memory of S. J. Workman by his wife, Ruth Workman, for the glory of our marvelous Savior, Jesus Christ.  The presentation of the painting was one of many wonderful events in 1987 commemorating the 200th Anniversary of our church.
