Here's the situation: You work your tail off in the class that gives you the most trouble, AP English, for example. You read every bit of the 150 pages your teacher assigns you over the HOLIDAYS, which, by the way, I think should be illegal. You try your hardest at all the essays that she throws at you, and at the end of the semester, you proudly receive an A. The girl that sits beside you, however, admits to not reading the assigned material, thinks the essays are dumb so just slaps something down and ends it with "That's what I think." She sleeps through class, and when she's awake, she whispers obnoxiously loud across the room. At the end of the semester she receives an A.

Okay, wait, backup. Huh? Is that right? How do you feel about that? Personally, I would have a pretty doggone hard time dealing with it. However, let's relate this to a bigger scale...

I've never killed anyone. I've never stolen anything. (that I know of.) God loves me. Some people have, obviously. God loves them just the same.

Wait a minute. That's not fair, is it? God doesn't give us what we deserve! Let's look again.

I am a sinner. God loves me. They are sinners. God loves them.

It's a good thing God "isn't fair." Otherwise we would all be in Hell, wouldn't we?

"He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities." Psalm 103:10

"But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:4-5

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me..."

(The list goes on and on!)
