INVITE SOMEONE

Nationally "Only 2 % of churchgoers invite an un-churched person to church.  98%  never extend an invitation in a given year."   Most people who drop out of church haven't lost their faith in God, they simply fell out of the habit of churchgoing.  Some moved or had a change in life circumstances and simply drifted away.  Most often, life became too busy.  This means many of them could be open to returning to church.  "82% of the unchurched are at least somewhat likely to attend church if invited."  Help us get ready for National Back to Church Sunday!

POTATO BAR & SALAD LUNCHEON

Sunday, September 18  *  12:00 pm

Proceeds will be used to buy materials for a one day home construction project through Christmas in Action.  If you would like to help by making a salad or dessert please contact Kelly Smith.

THANKS

Dear First Baptist Church, On behalf of the staff and board of directors, thank you so much for your continued generosity in support of Helping Hands Ministries.  With your help we are able to help others.                                         Sincerely, Lisa Abercrombie

Dear friends, Christian love was demonstrated over the past several months and especially this past week with the death of my mother.  Your prayers, verbal expressions, cards, phone calls and food were greatly appreciated.  You demonstrated true Christian relationships during this low point in our lives.

Thank you, Curtis & Sheila Walker and family
