OUTREACH AND PRAYER

This Wed., Sept. 14 * 6:45 pm * Patton’s Square

We will meet at Patton’s Square for a large circle prayer and then we will divide into groups to canvas neighborhoods with flyers inviting people to the Community Revival.  Several other churches will also be participating.  Drivers are needed!  This will take the place of our regular Wednesday Night Bible Study.  All are welcome!

MARTHA LEWIS MISSION GROUP

The group meeting scheduled for Monday, Sept. 19 has been cancelled so that everyone can take part in the Woodruff Community Revival.

INVITE SOMEONE

Nationally "Only 2 % of churchgoers invite an un-churched person to church.  98%  never extend an invitation in a given year."   Most people who drop out of church haven't lost their faith in God, they simply fell out of the habit of churchgoing.  Some moved or had a change in life circumstances and simply drifted away.  Most often, life became too busy.  This means many of them could be open to returning to church.  "82% of the unchurched are at least somewhat likely to attend church if invited."  Help us get ready for National Back to Church Sunday by inviting someone to church this Sunday.

BAKED POTATO & SALAD LUNCHEON

This Sunday, September 18  *  12:00 pm

Proceeds will be used to buy materials for a one day home construction project through Christmas in Action.  If you would like to help by making a salad or dessert please contact Kelly Smith.
