WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

Lord, Change My Attitude Before It’s Too Late!

This Wednesday, October 5  *  6:30 pm

Join us for this life changing Bible study developed by James MacDonald.  “I believe the single most important decision I can make on a day to day basis is my attitude choice.  It’s more important than my past.  It’s more important than my education or my bankroll or my success or my failures.  My attitude choice is more important than my fame or my pain or what others think or say about me or my position or my circumstances.  Attitudes keep me going or cripple my progress.  Attitude alone fuels my fire or assaults my hope.  When my attitude is right, there is no barrier too high or valley too deep nor dream too extreme nor challenge too great for me.”   – Chuck Swindoll

Heaven is for Real!

Next Wednesday, October 12  *  6:30 pm

When Colton Burpo made it through an emergency appendectomy, his family was overjoyed at his miraculous survival.  What they weren’t expecting, though, was the story that emerged in the months that followed – a story as beautiful as it was extraordinary. Join us as we look together at Colton’s story and carefully explore the Scripture passages about Heaven.

GOD QUEST

“You will seek Me and find Me

when you seek Me with all your heart.”

Sunday Morning & Evening  *  Oct. 9 – Nov. 13

Sometimes nagging doubts hold us back from really experiencing what God has for us.  It is easy even for people who have been in church all their lives to become confused with the dizzying array of spiritual options in our world.  Our busy schedules sometimes keep us from exploring things that are important.  But what we really believe will determine where we go in life.  Commit now to be present for each of these services and be praying about who you can bring with you.

We will not have a Flu Shot Clinic this year at our  Church.  The group who has previously provided this vaccine is no longer billing Medicare. THANKS!

Dearest Church Family, Words cannot express our appreciation to all of you during Mary Ruth’s illness and death.  The outpouring of love has been wonderful.  Thanks to the group of ladies who prepared and served the delicious lunch.  Thank you for the prayers, calls, visits, cards, flowers and food.  You will never know how much this helped us through this difficult time.  Please continue to pray for us.  In Christian love,           Richard McAbee and Family

Dear First Baptist Church, On behalf of the staff and board of directors, thank you so much for your continued generosity in support of Helping Hands Ministries.  With your help we are able to help others.

Sincerely, Lisa Abercrombie, Director

Thank you for your donation and for remembering those locally who are hungry and in need.  As we should love our neighbors as we love ourselves, you have shown your neighborly love by sending much needed food and service to your neighbors in need and I thank you on their behalf.  Thanks again for loving and sharing.

                   In God’s love we deliver,

Jane McQueen, President, Mobile Meals
