CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY

We express our love and prayerful support to:

The Family of Martha Lewis

Martha ministered as a pastor’s wife, served as a church planter in Ohio and as an international missionary in Trinidad and Suriname.  Our women’s mission group is named for her.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

Heaven is for Real!

This Wednesday, October 26  *  6:30 pm

Colton Burpo’s family was overjoyed at his miraculous survival of an emergency appendectomy.  What they weren’t expecting was the story that emerged in the months that followed – a story as beautiful as it was extraordinary. Join us as we look together at Colton’s story and carefully explore the Scripture passages about Heaven.

OPERATION:  CHRISTMAS CHILD

Share joy & hope with a needy child in a troubled country this Christmas.  Information flyers & boxes are available.  A $7.00 donation is requested with each box.  The filled shoe boxes need to be brought to the church on or before Sunday, Nov. 20.  This year our church will serve as a collection site for the Woodruff Community.

GOD QUEST:  THE QUESTION

Sunday Morning & Evening  *  October 30

In this life, there are times of pain and suffering that can be very difficult to understand and accept.  During those times, you can trust God even when you don’t understand, or you can turn your back on Him and walk away.  Join us this Sunday as we explore the question… Why is there evil and suffering in the world?

WHAT IS IMPORTANT?

Challenging economic times not only give us the opportunity for a greater trust & dependence on God but they force us to choose which things in life are truly important to us.  God is faithful!  He has blessed us continually though His church.  We want to continue to be a blessing to others.  Your help is needed.  Pray about what you can give to support the Lord’s work through His church.  Seek first His Kingdom…”  Matthew 6:33

THANKS!

Dear Church Family, I want to express my appreciation for your prayers and financial support of the work project through Christmas in Action.  I’m grateful for each member of the work crew and for Jo Granger who baked us cookies.

  In Christ, Keith Reynolds

Dear First Baptist Church & Rev. Andrew, Thank you all for the beautiful cards & the prayers sent up on behalf of my son, Cliff Green’s passing.  Continue to pray for his wife and 3 children.
