FIRST BAPTIST COOKBOOKS

Advanced orders are being taken by the Acteens for the new First Baptist Cookbooks.  The cookbooks are $12.00 and will be ready at the end of April.

 

CHURCH-WIDE BIBLE STUDY

This Wednesday Night, April 13  *  6:30 pm

Join us as we learn some of the lessons of grace taught through the stories of Jesus in Luke 15.

PROCESSION OF THE PALMS

Children are invited to take part in the procession of palms, streamers, & banners.  If you would like for your child to take part, please bring them to the front foyer of the sanctuary at 10:50 am this Sunday morning, April 17.  We look forward to this time of celebration.  “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!”

 

CALLED CHURCH CONFERENCE – FLAT ROOFS

There will be a Called Church Conference this Sunday evening, at 7:00 pm to consider a recommendation from the Property Committee, with unanimous approval of the Diaconate, that the church employ Grier Roofing, LLC to install a mechanically fastened TPO Roof System on the flat sections of the church roofs at a cost of $48,370.00.  The Property Committee hopes to bring another recommendation soon concerning the shingle sections of the roof.

Helping Hands Ministries

SUPER SATURDAY

The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin for “Command.”  We remember the new commandment Jesus gave His disciples that night to “Love one another as I have loved you.”  Don’t miss this special time of worship and commitment.

Led by the Woodruff High School Teens for Christ

First Baptist Church

Breakfast will follow the service.

Come celebrate the resurrection of our Lord in this wonderful service led by the high school students.  An offering will be received for Helping Hands Ministries.

 

EASTER SUNRISE BREAKFAST

We are putting together a team to cook breakfast for the Easter Sunrise Service.  If you would like to be part of this group, please contact Pam Scott or the church office.

 

EASTER FLOWERING CROSS

For Easter, the Decorating Committee will be preparing a “Flowering Cross” in the sanctuary.  Please bring flowers with you to add to the cross as you come to church Easter Sunday, April 24.

WOODRUFF CLOTHES CLOSET

May is our church’s month to staff the Clothes Closet on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Please let us know which day your Sunday School class or mission group would like to volunteer.  May 21 & 28 are still available.
