CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY

We extend our love and prayerful support to:

Jean Woodfin and family in the death of

her brother, Corkey Cherry.

FEARLESS

Fear permeates our society, but it is not how God intends for us to live our lives.  Paul writes, For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7  “Fear Not” is commanded in Scripture 365 times.  This Sunday we will continue to look at some of our greatest fears and how they can be overcome through faith in the Almighty God!  The series is coordinated with Max Lucado’s new book Fearless.  Pray that God will use these services of worship in a powerful way!

Woodruff Workday  *  Saturday, October 3

For the last 12 years, Christmas in Action has been sponsoring 1-day work projects in communities across Spartanburg County.  This fall they are coming to Woodruff and will work on 32 houses.  Here is an opportunity to do something great in our own community.  Will you be part of it?

Our Church Has Adopted Three Houses.  Please join us in praying for the residents of each house.

Volunteer for the Day.  Sign up by giving our pastor your T-shirt size by September 16.  Breakfast and lunch are provided!  The day begins at 7:00 am in our church fellowship hall.

Sponsors Are Needed.  The budget for each house is $1,000.00.  If people in our church contribute enough to sponsor a house, our church’s name will be on the back of the maroon and gold T-shirts for the Woodruff Workday.  To date we have received:  $603.76
