CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY

We extend our love and prayerful support to:

her cousin, Bill Sutton;

Carla Blanton and family in the death of

her uncle, Gerald Leonard;

Cheryl Smith, Ted Hayes and their families

in the death of their niece, Dawn Miller.

FEARLESS

Fear permeates our society, but it is not how God intends for us to live our lives.  Paul writes, For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7  “Fear Not” is commanded in Scripture 365 times.  This Sunday we will continue to look at some of our greatest fears and how they can be overcome through faith in the Almighty God!  The series is coordinated with Max Lucado’s new book Fearless.  Pray that God will use these services of worship in a powerful way!

Woodruff Workday

Saturday, October 3

For the last 12 years Christmas in Action has been sponsoring 1 day work projects in communities across Spartanburg County.  This fall they are coming to Woodruff.  The goal is 30 houses.  To accomplish this goal we will have 30 teams, each led by a House Captain.  Here is an opportunity to do something great in our own community.  Will you be part of it?

House Captains are Needed.  This is the person who puts together the material list and directs the work.  If you can help, please see our pastor immediately.

Volunteers are Needed.  You would serve on a team, working on a house that has been selected by one of our house captains.  Sign up by giving our pastor your T-shirt size by September 16.

Sponsors are Needed.  The budget for each house is $1,000.00.  If people in our church contribute enough to sponsor a house, our church’s name will be on the back of the maroon and gold T-shirts for the Woodruff Workday.  See our pastor if you can help.

Breakfast and lunch are provided!

The day begins at 7:00 am in our church fellowship hall.
