Promotion Sunday Assembly

Next Sunday, August 23  *  9:45 - 10:00 am

On Promotion Sunday, August 23, all Sunday School Classes (preschool, children, youth and adults) are asked to meet in the sanctuary at 9:45 am for a time of inspiration and celebration as we take part in a Church–Wide Assembly.  This will be a time to express appreciation to our Sunday School Teachers for their efforts in the past year.  Students who will be promoting will be recognized and will go to their new class after the assembly.  Set an extra alarm so that you can be here to support and cheer as we give thanks for this past year and look ahead to what God has for us as we study His word together.

CHRISTMAS IN ACTION

CIA sponsors one day repair projects of homes in different communities.  On October 3, the group is coming to Woodruff.  They hope to have 30 homes to work on.  Volunteers from all walks of life work in teams.  Teams can be made up from church groups, civic groups, businesses, or any other interested organization.    Each team has a House Captain who coordinates the work on a particular project.  There is a job for everyone.  Mark your calendar so that you will be able to participate.  If you are interested in serving as a House Captain, please contact the church office as soon as possible.   Our church will serve as the meal/restroom site for the work day.  If you would like to help sponsor the materials for a house, please contact our pastor.
